Girls Cross Country Takes Second at Chargers Autumn Sunrise

The Zeeland East Chix Girls Cross Country Team placed 2nd at the 2025 Chargers Autumn Sunrise on September 20th. The team scored 57. Adalyn Raab placed first for Zeeland East.
Head coach, Josh Vork, stated “We tried some new things, a little bit different of a strategy early in the race then what we normally do just to see how we responded to it. Had some mixed results there, but overall, pretty happy to finish second.”
Sophomore Adalyn Raab said, “We went at a pretty good pace, and then by the end I decided to just go for it, and I’m glad I did.”
East Girls Cross Country Places Second

The East girls cross country team beat the heat and placed a close second to Holland Christian on Wednesday night with a total score of 51.
Head Coach Josh Vork stated “This is a hard, hard course and a hot day… We knew it would be tough to beat Holland Christian today, and we came up just a little bit short, but I’m very, very proud of the girls and their effort and how they ran today.”
Senior Megan Kuzma stated, “I knew it was a really hard course. I knew I had to push really hard especially through the second lap to finish.. So it's just a battle of the heat.”
