Coach Scheerhorn had this to say after the meet, ”The competition was fierce. In preseason, West Ottawa was ranked 4th, and Zeeland was ranked 6th, so I knew it was going to be a fast meet. They had a lot of top-end talent. So we knew we’d have to beat them with our depth, which we did a lot of today. It was a close meet, and it was good to see where we are at and build from here.” Zeeland's A and B relay teams took 1st and 2nd place in the 400 free relay, finishing with times of 3:23.76 and 3:37.54. Lyam VanderWood stated, “The meet went very well, I swam some best times and competed fast on the relays.” Zeeland’s next competition will take place at East Kentwood for the West Michigan relays.
