At No. 1 singles, Manuel Meca made a statement for Grand Rapids Christian with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Daniel Steenwyk. Zach Devos followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Andrew Colasanti at No. 3 singles, while William Kok (3-2) delivered one of the day’s tightest matches at No. 4, outlasting Oliver Reese (4-2) 6-4, 0-6, 10-6 in a three-set battle. Zeeland East got straight-set wins from Gavin Sullivan at No. 2 singles and the doubles pair of Jace Velderman and Payton Ott at No. 2 doubles. Grand Rapids Christian’s Charlie Brandt (3-2) and Diederik Boehm (1-0) also came through in a deciding tiebreaker, holding off Ben Slotman (5-1) and Max Lewis (5-1) 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 at No. 4 doubles. The win moved Grand Rapids Christian back over .500 early in the season.
