Zeeland East (7-1-1) defeated Muskegon Reeths-Puffer (0-3) by an 8-0 score on August 25th, sweeping the dual meet from top to bottom. Zeeland East was especially sharp in doubles, where it won all four matches to finish off the shutout. Daniel Steenwyk led the way at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Henrik Ketner, and Gavin Sullivan matched that score at No. 2 singles against Roman Ponce. Andrew Colasanti added another quick point at No. 3 singles, also winning 6-0, 6-0, while Oliver Reese held off Zayden Zlotnicki 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. The doubles lineup was just as dominant. Jacob Guerriero and Luke Hathaway opened with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles, Jace Velderman and Payton Ott rolled 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, and Lukas Hafeman with Pierson Kolean followed with another 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3. Ben Slotman and Max Lewis completed the sweep at No. 4 doubles with a default victory. Zeeland East continued to build on a strong start to the season with its seventh win.
