Varsity vs Hamilton High School (4 - 4) Hamilton (10-3-2) and Zeeland East (11-2-2) tied 4-4 on September 14th, splitting the four singles matches before Zeeland East swept all four doubles flights. Hamilton controlled the top two singles spots, as Guilherme Pozzi defeated Zeeland East’s Daniel Steenwyk 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Ty Mikolajczyk followed with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 victory over Gavin Sullivan at No. 2 singles. The closest matches came in the lower singles flights. Hamilton’s Gus Johnson (9-7) rallied past Zeeland East’s Andrew Colasanti (9-9) 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles, while Grayden Lubbers (13-2) overcame Oliver Reese (13-5) 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4. Zeeland East secured its four points in doubles, including a 6-0, 7-5 win by Jace Velderman and Payton Ott over Mason Boeskool and Carter Hickok at No. 2 doubles. The tie left both teams with another strong result in a competitive season.
