Zeeland East High School

The Chix spent the day in the rain playing 18 holes of golf today at The Ravines in the Conference Tournament. The girls were prepared for the weather and made the best of the situation. The team was led by All-Conference player Ashleigh Pomeroy with a overall 5th place finish of 92. Senior Lucy Ehinger shot a 102, Sophomore Ellie Strom had a 104, and Junior Taylor Slagh had a 106 to round out the team score of 402. Also playing today were Senior Ximena Knittel and Junior Vanessa Putnam. I am very proud of all six of these players. The conditions were extremely challenging and they all played their hearts out. Chix Pride! Team scores: Spring Lake 386, Unity Chr 387, Holland Chr 396, Hamilton 431, Z West 437, and Holland 506. Congrats on a great regular season girls and best of luck at the Regional Tournament on Tuesday.
