Zeeland East won their home invitational on Saturday, defeating Hastings by a score of 11-0 and defeating Lakewood in the finals by a score os 7-2.
JJ Salas and Charlie Lacny each had two hits in the first game while Max Salas and Max Mulder each added doubles. Evan Owens recorded the win on the mound. Owens pitched 4 innings, striking out 8 batters surrendering just one hit.
In the finals, Gavin Drooger recorded the win on the mound. Drooger pitched 5 innings allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. Max Mulder picked up the two innings save, striking out 3 batters and only allowing one hit.
Offensively, Trevor Raade had two hits including a double. Noah DeWitt scored two runs and had two RBI in the game.
Zeeland East improves to 19-2 on the season and travel to Holland on Tuesday for and OK Green conference double-header.
