Boys Varsity Tennis plays to Tie with Mona Shores

Playing without two ailing starters, the Chix showed their depth by rallying for a tie against perennial league power Mona Shores. Charlie Reese led the Chix with a 3 set victory at 3S, giving him the #1 seed at the conference tournament next week. Zeeland East also pulled off the upset at 2D as Cam Volkers stepped in to pair with Easton Beukema to defeat Shores 6-2, 6-3.
The Chix end the dual season at 3-1-2 and in a tie for 2nd place in league play. The conference tournament is scheduled for next Friday, October 5 at Holland HS. Play starts at 8:30 am.
