The JV Chix traveled to Grand Rapids to play the West Catholic Falcons on Thursday night. The Chix fell to a strong Falcon team, 35-14. Sam Cochran completed 12 passes for 107 yards. Nathan Austin Field ran for 63 yards and 2 scores. Colin DeKraker added 36 yards rushing. Ian Bannach had 4 catches on the game. Nathan and Brandon Claerbaut each added 3 catches.
Defensively, the Chix were led by Colin DeKraker’s 9 tackles. AJ Terhaar added 8 tackles and Cole Machiela had 7. Ian Bannach had a fumble recovery for the Chix.
The JV Chix are back in action next Thursday, September 20, as they travel to play Holland Christian. Game time is 6:00 pm.
