The JV Chix football team travel to Holland Christian on Thursday night to open OK Green conference play.  The Chix played a dominating game on both sides of the ball and came away victorious with 49-7 win over the Maroons. 

Offensively, the Chix were very balanced, rushing for 247 yards on the ground and passing for 192 yards in the air.  Cebastin Hunderman rushed for 153 yards and 3 touchdowns, including a 61 yard gallop.  Colin DeKraker added 45 yards and Zach Bellis ran for 37.  Sam Cochran completed 11 of 15 pass attempts for 192 yards and 3 touchdown passes.  Nathan and Brandon Claerbaut each had 3 catches and a touchdown.  Cole Machiela added a touchdown catch as well.

On Defense, the Chix forced 5 interceptions, recovered a fumble and held the Maroons to negative rushing on the game.  Cole Machiela led the defense from the secondary, intercepting 2 passes and making 8 tackles.  Colin DeKraker also had 2 interceptions and Max Cochran intercepted a pass and along with his 6 tackles.  Aiden Taylor had 2 sacks and Caleb Schrotenboer added 2 tackles for loss.

The Chix are back in action next week as they take to the road to play the Holland High Dutch.
